The #1 Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 17-10 in Week 10 of College Football.
Despite three turnovers and a 10-point first-half deficit, the Mississippi State Bulldogs were able to rally in the second half to beat the Razorbacks at home to secure the win and their 8th straight win without a loss this season.
Bulldogs QB Dak Prescott, considered by most to be the Heisman Trophy frontrunner, had two painful interceptions on the day, but he was able to bring the Bulldogs back into the game thanks to his 331 passing yards and an extra 61 yards on the ground. In the 4th quarter, Prescott found WR Fred Ross for the 70-yard, game-winning TD.
Arkansas QB Brandon Allen struggled to keep the team ahead, throwing a costly interception and completing just under 52% of his passes against the Bulldogs. RB Alex Collins played a strong game on the ground with 93 yards and a 5.8 yards/carry average and the first TD of the day.
With the win, the Bulldogs move to 8-0, their first 8-0 start in school history, and will likely retain their #1 ranking in this week’s College Football Playoff poll. Their next game will be against the UTM Skyhawks in an FBS/FCS showdown.
With the loss, the Razorbacks fall to 4-5 on the season with all 5 losses coming against other SEC teams. The next game for Arkansas will be against the #19 LSU Tigers in two weeks.
