Arizona State Washington preview
No. 14 Arizona State is still in contention for the Pac-12 South championship, and they are facing one of their most crucial games of the season as they will take on No. 17 Utah.
Both teams are 6-1 and have lost their lone game of the season in a Pac-12 matchup. The Sun Devils are coming off a 24-10 win against Washington. Although their offense was not in usual form, quarterback Taylor Kelly returned to full health.
The defense stepped up by holding Washington to 10 points and coming up with a pick-six to seal the win.
The Sun Devils will face another defensive challenge in Utah, who held USC to 21 points in their victory last week. They won 24-21 on a last-second touchdown pass by quarterback Travis Wilson.
Running back Devontae Booker had another solid performance as he broke the 100-yard barrier for the fourth consecutive game with 102 yards and a touchdown.
The Sun Devils defense has struggled against high-octane Pac-12 offenses, but they were able to hold Stanford and Washington to 10 points each. Booker will be a test for them though, and Wilson has proven he can come through in the clutch.
Prediction: Utah 27, Arizona State 21
