No. 10 Notre Dame will be returning from their bye week, which they had to recover from possibly the most heartbreaking loss of the entire 2014 college football season.
They were ranked No. 5 before losing to No. 2 Florida State, 31-27. They appeared to have the game-winning touchdown, but it was called back by the officials for offensive holding.
Quarterback Everett Golson has had a solid season, but he has started to pile on the turnovers with six interceptions in his last four games.
The Fighting Irish will look to climb back into the college football playoff hunt as they take on the Navy Midshipmen, who are currently 4-4.
The Midshipmen are led by quarterback Keenan Reynolds, who is a dual threat. He only has two touchdown passes, but he has rushed for 11 touchdowns on a team-leading 639 rushing yards.
Reynolds rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns in Navy’s 41-31 victory over San Jose State, but he will be hard-pressed to run against a tough Notre Dame defense.
The Irish have looked more vulnerable on defense lately, but they still rank 14th in the country with just 19.1 points allowed per game.
Notre Dame should be able to cruise to a victory over Navy as long as Reynolds’ rushing yards are limited.
Prediction: Notre Dame 34, Navy 17
