The #12 Baylor Bears take on the #15 Oklahoma Sooners on the road in a last chance for the two teams to rise in the Big XII rankings before the end of the season.
After losing to West Virginia to fall out of the top 10, Baylor thrashed Kansas 60-14 and now head on the road to take on a Sooners team that has lost both of its games to top 25 opponents. With Kansas State waiting on the horizon, Baylor needs to take care of business against the Sooners in order to stay the course and win the Big XII title – all they need to do is win out and the title will be theirs. QB Bryce Petty should be more than capable of making some serious moves against Oklahoma in the game.
The Sooners have lost two of their last four – with both of the losses coming to top-25 teams in the Big XII. One advantage the Sooners have is that Baylor has never beaten Oklahoma on the road – and if that trend continues, head coach Bob Stoops and QB Trevor Knight can pull the upset and regain their footing in the Big XII.
Prediction: Baylor – The offensive prowess of QB Bryce Petty is simply so overwhelming that they have four games this year scoring over 60 points and only two where they’ve scored under 40. Home or away, the Bears will put up points and the Sooners will struggle to keep up with them.
