The Wisconsin Badgers are looking to improve to 7-2, and they have a prime opportunity to do so against the Purdue Boilermakers, who are 3-6.

No. 25 Wisconsin returned to the rankings for the first time in four weeks after demolishing Rutgers, 37-0. This marked their third consecutive win, and running back Melvin Gordon picked up even more steam in his Heisman Trophy campaign.
The Badgers improved to 6-2, and they have climbed back into Big Ten title contention. Gordon rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.
Fellow running back Corey Clement led Wisconsin in rushing with 131 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Quarterback Joel Stave had another rough performance as he threw for 81 yards on 7-of-16 passing.
Meanwhile, Purdue is coming off their third loss in a row after falling to No. 13 Nebraska, 35-14. The Boilermakers were unable to capitalize on the absence of running back Ameer Abdullah.
Quarterback Austin Appleby looked shaky as he threw for 216 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions on 18-of-46 passing. Running back Akeem Hunt was held to 66 yards on 21 carries.
The Badgers defense has held strong in its last couple of games, so look for an encore against an underwhelming Purdue offense.
Prediction: Wisconsin 34, Purdue 10
