In the biggest matchup of the week, the Alabama Crimson Tide host the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 12 of college football.
The Bulldogs are 9-0 with impressive road wins over the LSU Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks on their resume, not to mention home wins over the Auburn Tigers and Texas A&M. QB Dak Prescott has had a Tim Tebow-like season with 18 TDs through the air and 11 TDs on the ground. If he manages to pull out the road win over the Crimson Tide, it may cement his status as a Heisman trophy finalist. More than that, a 10-win season would almost guarantee the Bulldogs a place at the SEC championship if they beat Vanderbilt the following week.
The Crimson Tide were upset back in October in a close road loss to the Ole Miss Rebels. But now the tables have turned: Since that loss Alabama has had only one other home game: A 59-0 drubbing of Texas A&M. At home this year the Crimson Tide are undefeated and have pitched two shutouts. The Bulldogs will have their hands full in Tuscaloosa.
Prediction: Alabama – Home field advantages have dominated college football in the SEC West this year and Alabama is no exception. With the best WR in the country in Amari Cooper, an incredible defense and a grind-it-out rushing attack. As good as the Bulldogs are, Alabama is a completely different monster.
