No. 14 Arizona appeared to be on the verge of an upset at the hands of unranked Washington, but they escaped with a 27-26 win to improve to 8-2.
Wildcats kicker Casey Skowron lined up for a 47-yard field goal and missed his first attempt, but the Huskies called a timeout in an attempt to ice the kicker.
Skowron capitalized on his second chance to win the game for Arizona. Here is a video from Vine of this incredible ending.
This all happened after the Wildcats appeared to have a game-winning touchdown with less than a minute left. Wide receiver Cayleb Jones caught a pass in the end zone, but he was ruled out of bounds since his foot was on the line.
Quarterback Anu Solomon had a shaky performance despite Arizona winning. He threw 242 yards and two interceptions, but running back Nick Wilson looked solid as he ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries.
For the Huskies, quarterback Cyler Miles threw for 223 yards on 20-of-29 passing but was held without a touchdown pass. Running back Dwayne Washington took over rushing duties and ran for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.
