Wisconsin Purdue preview
No. 20 Wisconsin is still in contention to play in the Big Ten title game as they hold a 4-1 record in conference play, and they will play in a crucial matchup against No. 16 Nebraska.
The Badgers won their fourth game in a row against Purdue last week as running back Melvin Gordon steamrolled them for 205 rushing yards and a touchdown while adding a receiving touchdown.
Quarterback Joel Stave had one of his better performances of the season as he threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.
Meanwhile, Nebraska is coming off a bye week as they hold an 8-1 record. They will be even more hungry for a win against Wisconsin since they did not rise in the rankings despite many teams losing their second game.
This will be the Cornhuskers’ second opportunity to beat a ranked team. They previously lost to Michigan State, 27-22.
Running back Ameer Abdullah is expected to return after having a perfectly timed bye week to heal from a knee injury.
This game will be a clash between two of the premier running backs in the nation, and it may come down to quarterback play. The Badgers will have home-field advantage, and they have already proven they can hang with the big boys after leading LSU until a Gordon injury.
Prediction: Wisconsin 27, Nebraska 21
