The Boston College Eagles take on the #3 Florida State Seminoles in Week 13 of College Football.
Since pulling off the major upset against the USC Trojans in September, Boston College has been a mostly average team with a 6-4 record and a 3-3 record in the ACC. The Eagles offense is predicated on the run with QB Tyler Murphy and RB Jon Hillman combining for 20 TDs and over 1,600 yards on the ground. Murphy’s passing certainly needs work as he currently has only 9 TDs versus 11 INTs, With only two games scoring over 30 points in the last two months, Boston College will be hard pressed to keep pace with the Seminoles.
The Seminoles in the meantime are still riding their 26-game winning streak and are coming off yet another comeback win, this time against the Miami Hurricanes. QB Jameis Winston isn’t putting up Heisman trophy numbers this year, but he is still the star of the show and has been leading game-winning drives week after week, making him one of the few QBs in college football where no lead is ever safe against. FSU currently holds the #3 position in the College Football Playoff poll, but even a single loss will completely eliminate them. There is no room for error in Florida State.
Prediction: Florida State – Boston College has given up over 30 points in each of the last two games, the Seminoles have scored that many points in every single game Jameis Winston has started this season. For a change, there’s good reason to expect this game may be won earlier than the 4th quarter.
