Boise State Utah State preview
No. 23 Boise State improved to 10-2 with a dominant 50-19 win over Utah State, and their offense continued to fire on all cylinders as they have now scored at least 50 points in four of their last five games.
The Aggies were able to keep it relatively close in the first quarter, but the Broncos pulled away and took a 34-12 lead at halftime and never looked back. This loss drops the Aggies’ record to 9-4.
The Broncos were led by running back Jay Ajayi, who rushed for 229 yards and five touchdowns on 27 carries. Quarterback Grant Hedrick threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns on 18-of-24 passing.
For the Aggies, quarterback Kent Myers was held to 159 yards and an interception on 16-of-28 passing, but he added 43 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.
Running back LaJuan Hunt led the Aggies in rushing with 58 yards on four carries, but the majority of these yards came on a 55-yard carry.
