The Texas Longhorns host the TCU Horned Frogs in Week 14 of the College Football season.
After a difficult season that seemed nearly hopeless, the Texas Longhorns earned bowl eligibility with their win last week over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Head coach Charlie Strong has struggled to keep the team together but now has them on the brink of their first winning season with him at the helm, thanks in large part to the efforts of QB Tyrone Swoops and a defense which hasn’t allowed 20 points or more in the last three weeks.
The Horned Frogs need to be Texas in order to get at least a part of the Big XII title this season since there is no conference title game and tie-breakers don’t matter in determining the winner. QB Trevone Boykin has 24 TDs through the air and 7 on the ground, putting him at the top of nearly every major passing category in the Big XII conference. Boykin has helped lead the Horned Frogs to their best start since 2009 and have not been held below 30 points in any game this season. An impressive win this week and a win next week against Iowa State in order to potentially move up in the College Football Playoff standings.
Prediction: TCU – The Horned Frogs have a nearly unstoppable juggernaut on offense with QB Trevone Boykin considered the Big XII’s best contender for the Heisman trophy. The Longhorns on the other hand are 1-4 against top 25 teams this year
