The Florida Gators face the #3 Florida State Seminoles in Week 14 of the College Football season. Florida State has won in this rivalry in three of the last four times.
Florida State and QB Jameis Winston are riding a 27-game winning streak to the College Football Playoffs and the ACC Championship game with many 4th quarter comebacks and late rallies in between. Due to their relatively weak strength of schedule, the Seminoles are almost a certainty to be eliminated from playoff contention with any loss, making this game against Florida all the more crucial for them to keep their hopes alive.
Florida is only a few days away from beginning the search for a new head coach after it was announced several weeks ago that HC Will Muschamp would be fired at the end of the season. The team has been going through a QB carousel with Treon Harris taking over for Jeff Driskel and leading the Gators to a 52-3 win over Eastern Kentucky last week. Despite their struggles, the Florida defense is certainly formidable and may even be one of the best Florida State has ever faced – the Seminoles will have their work cut out for them.
Prediction: Florida State – In what will likely be yet another close game, the Seminoles will spot the Gators about 14 to 17 points in the early-going, but will make a comeback with a dominant fourth quarter performance and pull out their 28th consecutive victory.
