The Bulldogs have arguably the best RB in the country in Todd Gurley and have shot up the CFB rankings in recent weeks. With RB Todd Gurley, arguably the top RB in the nation and a Heisman trophy candidate, the Bulldogs have one of the best offenses in the SEC, let alone college football. After starting the season in the top 15, the Bulldogs blew out Clemson to jump deep into the top 10, and are now the favorites for the SEC East title. A win in this game would set them up for an October matchup with Missouri for what could be the deciding game for the division title.
The Gamecocks were early favorites of the SEC East title but after a season opening loss against Texas A&M is in the bottom of the BCS rankings – a loss today may knock them out of the final 25 all together. Head coach Steve Spurrier is one of the best minds in football but has struggled to win big games – this game against Georgia may be a defining one for a team that already has a loss in the conference.
Prediction: Georgia – It is hard to pick against a team that has one of the best players in college football, and this just doesn’t seem like South Carolina’s year.
