The #1 Florida State Seminoles kept their undefeated streak alive after topping arch-rival Clemson on Saturday night football.
With former Heisman winning QB Jameis Winston out due to a one-game suspension, backup QB Sean Maguire started and had his ups and downs – 2 INTs thrown and sacked 5 times, but added a dazzling 74-yard TD pass late in the 4th quarter to tie up the game and eventually send it to overtime.
In overtime the Seminoles were able to stop Clemson on 4th down to put themselves in a position to win with one score. Shortly thereafter, RB Karlos Williams punched it in for a 12-yard run to win the game.
For the Tigers, who fell to 2-2, the loss came amidst numerous blown opportunities. Despite outgaining FSU by nearly 100 yards of offense, Clemson was stung by a late turnover and two missed field goals.
