Wisconsin Bowling Green preview
No. 19 Wisconsin played their first game since their bye week against Bowling Green, and they steamrolled the Falcons, 68-17.
The Falcons were initially in the game as they trailed the Badgers, 14-10, but the Badgers scored 27 unanswered points before halftime and never looked back.
Running back Melvin Gordon led the way for the Badgers with 253 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 13 carries.
Quarterback Tanner McEvoy threw for 112 yards and a touchdown on 9-of-16 passing with a touchdown pass and an interception, and he added 158 yards and a rushing touchdown on 11 carries.
Backup running back Corey Clement added another 111 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.
The Badgers totaled 644 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in the game.
Meanwhile, Bowling Green quarterback James Knapke was held to 163 yards and an interception on 13-of-28 passing, and the Falcons were held to 93 rushing yards.
Most of these came from a 60-yard touchdown run by Andre Givens in the fourth quarter.
