No. 22 Ohio State is coming off a bye week, and their confidence is sure to be higher following a 66-0 win over Kent State. They will face Cincinnati at home as they look to improve to 3-1.
The Buckeyes received an effort from quarterback J.T. Barrett that included tying a school record for six touchdown passes in a game. Running back Curtis Samuel rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the Buckeyes’ win.
Meanwhile, the Bearcats head into this game with a 2-0 record. Their first two wins have come against Toledo and Miami(Ohio). Cincinnati quarterback Gunner Kiel looked solid in the Miami(Ohio) game as he threw four touchdown passes, but he threw two interceptions.
The Bearcats will need to limit their turnovers to keep up with the Buckeyes offense. While the Bearcats offense has enough firepower to give the Buckeyes fits, their defense is questionable since it has allowed 29 points per game.
This game will be close at the beginning, but Ohio State will ultimately pull away as they look to keep themselves in the rankings.
Prediction: Ohio State 34, Cincinnati 27
