The #3 Ole Miss Rebels defeated the #14 Texas A&M Aggies 35-20 in a critical road matchup in the SEC West dvision.
Of the 5 TDs scored by Ole Miss, two of them were rushing TDs by QB Bo Wallace, a third was a passing TD from Wallace to Quincy Adeboyejo, and the other two were both turnovers committed by Aggies QB Kenny Hill that were returned for TDs – an INT and a fumble.
The Aggies were just unable to get things going early in the game, failing to score any points in the first half and committing 3 turnovers on the day – all by star QB Kenny Hill. While Hill was finally able to get the Aggies on the board in the 3rd quarter, mistakes doomed the team and after a fumble recovery by the Rebels which was returned for a TD in the 4th quarter, the game was beyond reach. Two garbage-time TDs made the final score of the game 35-20.
With the win the Rebels move to 6-0 – tied with the Mississippi State Bulldogs for the lead in the SEC West.
Texas A&M fell to 5-2 with the loss and have now lost back-to-back games in the SEC – both against Mississippi teams.
