No. 22 Georgia Tech finally climbed into the rankings after improving to 5-0 with a 28-17 victory over Miami, and they will look to stay undefeated as they take on Duke at home.
Running back Zach Laskey rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries, and the Yellow Jackets offense continued to be a powerful rushing attack with a total of 318 rushing yards.
The Yellow Jackets rank 12th in the nation in rushing with 297.2 yards per game.
Meanwhile, the Blue Devils also played their most recent game against Miami before sitting out last week with a bye. They were not as fortunate as the Yellow Jackets as they fell, 22-10.
Quarterback Anthony Boone struggled as he threw for 179 yards and two interceptions on 22-of-51 passing. Boone started the season strongly, but he has slumped in his last two games with no touchdowns and three interceptions.
However, the Blue Devils rank 32nd in offense with 36.8 points per game while they have held their opponents to 13.6 points per game.
This game is sure to produce plenty of scoring, and Duke has shown it can be vulnerable against the run after allowing Miami to rush for 202 yards.
The Yellow Jackets should be able to take full advantage of the Blue Devils’ questionable run defense, and they have home-field advantage on their side.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 28, Duke 24
