No. 13 Ohio State has been on a roll since being upset by Virginia Tech as they have won three games in a row. The Buckeyes have averaged 56 points per game over the course of their three-game winning streak.
Quarterback J.T. Barrett has been on fire with 14 touchdown passes and one interception in his last three games, and running back Ezekiel Elliott has emerged as the feature back in the Buckeyes offense.
The Buckeyes defeated Maryland, 52-24, on the road to win their first Big Ten matchup of the season. They will face Rutgers in their next game, who also joined the Big Ten this year.
Like the Buckeyes, the Scarlet Knights are looking to improve to 6-1 overall and to 2-0 in the Big Ten. They won their Big Ten opener, 26-24, against Michigan.
Quarterback Gary Nova picked apart the Michigan defense as he threw for 404 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-39 passing. Nova has been playing his best football for the past two weeks as he has thrown seven touchdown passes with one interception.
The Scarlet Knights will face a major test from a high-octane Buckeyes offense and while on the road, so anything less than an Ohio State win would be a shocker.
Prediction: Ohio State 34, Rutgers 20
