The Arizona State Sun Devils improved to 6-1 as they defeated the Washington Huskies, 24-10, as quarterback Taylor Kelly returned.

No. 14 Arizona State held off Washington for a 24-10 victory and improved to 6-1. The Sun Devils were locked in a close matchup with the Huskies as they were tied at 10 in the fourth quarter.
Sun Devils quarterback Taylor Kelly threw a go-ahead touchdown later on though, and the game was sealed in the last minute with a pick-six by cornerback Armand Perry.
Kelly made his first start for Arizona State since returning from a foot injury, and he was efficient as he threw for 180 yards with two touchdowns and one interception on 14-of-25 passing.
Running back Demario Richard led the Sun Devils in rushing with 54 yards on nine carries. Wide receiver Jaelen Strong was not his usual self as he was held to three receptions for 55 yards, but he caught a touchdown pass.
For the Huskies, Troy Williams filled in for Cyler Miles at quarterback and struggled. He was held to 139 yards and two interceptions on 18-of-26 passing.
Linebacker Shaq Thompson got some snaps at running back and performed impressively by rushing for 98 yards on 21 carries.
