GK: Joe Hart (Manchester City)
The goalkeepers of both finalists – Gianluigi Buffon and Marc-Andre ter Stegen – have both impressed throughout but Joe Hart was in superb form during another disappointing Champions League campaign for Manchester City.
England’s number one produced brilliant displays against Bayern Munich and Roma in the group stage and was better still in the two legs with Barcelona in the last 16, saving Lionel Messi’s penalty to give them hope when all looked lost.
RB: Dani Alves (Barcelona)
The right-back has been back to his rampaging best this season, particularly in Europe.
He may be 32, but the Brazilian still gets up and down with great energy and could be a key player in the final.
CB: Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus)
A throwback to the type of centre-back which gave the Italians their reputation as the world’s best defenders, Chiellini has been a rock on Juve’s path to their first final in 12 years.
The commanding 30-year-old has helped the Old Lady keep six clean sheets and it is a crying shame that a calf injury will keep him out of this weekend’s showdown.
