CB: Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid)
The leader of the Atletico Madrid team which came such a close second last season, the Uruguayan defender has been just as good in Europe this campaign.
Atletico could not progress as far this time around, but that is no fault of Godin, who made an average of 2.1 tackles and 7.3 clearances per game to help the La Liga side keep six clean sheets.
LB: Patrice Evra (Juventus)
Andrea Pirlo has proven over the last couple of seasons that age is just a number at Juventus and Patrice Evra is now doing the same.
The 34-year-old left-back departed Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer of 2014, but has been just as good this term as when he burst onto the scene in this competition with AS Monaco over a decade ago.
