In a team of superstars, Kroos occasionally goes overlooked but the 23-year-old German international has been crucial to Bayern’s dominance of the Champions League in recent seasons. The complete midfielder played the full 120 minutes against Chelsea in the 2012 final before missing last season’s victory over Dortmund through injury. Despite Bayern’s plethora of stunning midfielders, Kroos has kept his place under Pep Guardiola and his 67 key passes attest to his importance.
