Main strength:
The West Londoners are pretty strong throughout the team, but if one area had to be picked out for specific praise it would have to be the defence.
Last term no club had a better record at the back than Mourinho’s men, with Cole the only significant loss from that and he has been swiftly replaced with Filipe.
Biggest weakness:
It would still have to be the strike force, despite the £32m arrival of Costa from Atetico Madrid, as so much is riding on the 25-year-old being a success.
Last season the trio of Ba, Eto’o and Fernando Torres failed to impress, but the latter still remains and at 36-years-old Drogba cannot be relied upon as much as he once was.
