Blanc has said PSG will not be making a move for Hazard this summer.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho can finally heave a sigh of relief as Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has revealed that he will not be moving for Eden Hazard anytime in the near future.
“Eden Hazard? He is a top player. But what is certain is that Chelsea wants to keep him,” Blanc was quoted by the Daily Express.
The French champions were reported to be hot on the trail of the Belgian for most of last year, an interest that became even stronger following the player’s impressive performances for the Blues as the season progressed.
Meanwhile, it is known that Mourinho holds Hazard in high regard and will not consider parting ways with him anytime soon.
The Portuguese coach has made that clear time and again, and he is expected to stick to his decision.
And as far as PSG are concerned, it was always unlikely that they would have succeeded in landing the Belgium international anyway, given the fact that they are still reeling under sanctions from UEFA for failing to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
