Chelsea have agreed a deal for Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman, according to reports.
Rahman has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, and it seems a deal is edging ever closer with The Daily Mail reporting that the Blues have agreed an initial £14m fee for the Ghanaian international.
According to the report, the agreement will see a further £3.5m paid out in bonuses depending on Rahman’s performances, £700k after he plays 20 games, and a further £3.5m if the defender makes 100 appearances for the Blues.
Rahman is understood to have agreed a five-year deal with the Premier League champions and is headed to London to complete a medical.
The 21-year-old arrives as a replacement for Felipe Luis, with the Brazilian heading back to Atletico Madrid after just one season with the Blues.
Rahman was rated as the Bundesliga’s best left-back last season and Jose Mourinho will be hoping the youngster will provide plenty of competition for Cesar Azpilicueta.
