Chelsea are inching closer to the signing of Augsburg starlet Baba Rahman as a replacement for Felipe Luis.
Rahman has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, and it appears the transfer is nearing completion after the youngster’s agent said his client had agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions.
The Blues are believed to be keen in signing the Ghanaian international, however, the two club’s are yet to agree on a transfer fee.
Daily Express reports the Blues will have to pay upwards of £17m for the 21-year-old.
Rahman’s agent Sascha Empacher says it is now up to Chelsea and Augbsurg to agree a fee for the transfer to occur.
“It is only the clubs that have to find an agreement,” Empacher is quoted as saying by Daily Express.
“We on our side are agreed.”
Rahman was rated the best left-back in the Bundesliga last season and would provide Cesar Azpilicueta with strong competition for a starting spot should he join the Premier League champions.
