Juventus playmaker considers moving to English club, with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Liverpool all interested.
Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo is now the subject of transfer interest from six English clubs, according to Football Italia.
Tottenham Hotspur have long been reported as leading the chase to sign the Italy international, with Gianluca Vialli claiming to have heard of informal talks between Pirlo’s party and representatives from the north London outfit.
“I’ve heard rumours from England that there has been contact between Pirlo and Tottenham for next season,” said Vialli last week, but it now appears that Spurs face competition from the Premier League’s heavyweights for the move.
Tottenham’s London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are also watching Pirlo’s situation carefully, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool completing the set.
Pirlo certainly feels he still belongs at the highest level at the age of 34.
“I’ll certainly play on, we’ll just have to see where,” said the Italian in August.
“Juve are my priority, but I don’t want to be a weight for anybody. The years go by, but it is not written that I have to stay here just because I am called Pirlo.
“I want to feel important and a part of the side’s success, otherwise I’ll leave. But I want to underline that it won’t be a problem about money or choosing between one club and another.
“If I had to change, perhaps I’ll go abroad. I’ll certainly continue playing for a high level team.”
