Vultures begin to circle around Marseille star Giannelli Imbula.
Chelsea face stern competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United for powerful midfielder Giannelli Imbula from Championship leaders Olympique Marseille, report the Mail, after the Red Devils sent scouts to watch the player against Rennes in the Coupe de la Ligue last night.

Arsenal were also interested in the player before he made a £6m move from Rennes to the Stade Velodrome and, with Imbula playing in a position where the Gunners need serious strengthening, it would be no surprise if they returned to the table for a player who has been immense for Marcelo Bielsa’s Ligue 1 leaders this season.
Unlike a number of his squad, however, Imbula’s contract has plenty of time left to run, meaning that it could take a fee of around £25 million to persuade the club to part with him in January.
