Midfielder won’t be leaving the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti appears to have put an end to Chelsea and Arsenal’s reported interest in midfielder Sami Khedira, report the Mail, with the Italian reportedly confirming that the German World Cup winner is not for sale this summer.
Both London giants have been linked with a move for experienced box-to-box midfielder Khedira this summer, although Arsene Wenger largely poured cold water on reports linking the Gunners with a swoop, whilst Chelsea’s interest seems to have gone cold following the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
Confirmation that Khedira will be remaining at the Bernabeu now seems to have been delivered by Ancelotti, however:
“He’s not leaving, he’s a Real Madrid player. He has a contract until June 30, 2015 and that’s all there is to say.”
The fact that Khedira’s deal expires in less than twelve months’ time could still lead to a huge scramble for his signature next year, if Real are not able to agree a new deal, but for now it looks as though he will remain a Galactico for the 2014/15 season.
