Leighton Baines (Everton and ENGLAND)
Leighton Baines was afforded very little protection at left back by England against Italy, but still did himself little credit with his performance.
The Everton man played in far more conservative fashion than his usual attacking game, and was regularly flummoxed by the movement of Antonio Candreva on the right side of Italy’s attack.
Baines was brought to the World Cup in place of Ashley Cole, and now needs to prove he is a better option than the former Chelsea star.
