Brazilian slams Spurs after opting for Chelsea switch.
Chelsea new boy Willian has further rubbed salt into Tottenham’s wounds by claiming the Blues are a ‘better club’ than Spurs.
The Brazilian had a medical at Tottenham and was set to move to White Hart Lane from Anzhi Makhachkala before Chelsea hi-jacked the deal at the eleventh hour.
The playmaker’s decision reportedly left Spurs officials fuming and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho gloated at a press conference that the North London outfit should have kept the 25-year-old’s medical ‘secret’.
In an interview with Brazilian paper Globoesporte, Willian has praised his new club and said they are superior to their London rivals: “I always wanted to go to Chelsea. Chelsea presented an offer and it was always my dream to go there.
“Chelsea is a better club than Tottenham in every aspect. I have spoken with my fellow Brazilians at the club, especially David Luiz. I am also happy to play for Jose Mourinho. That was definitive in my decision.”
