Hazard is ready to take on the 2012 champions at the Etihad.
It’s a top of the table clash in the Premier League as Manchester City host Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium and Eden Hazard says the Blues will play with no fear.
The Citizens have seemingly been scoring for fun this term and have already found the net in the league 25 more times then their opponents.
Whilst City boast talent in front of goal that includes Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and even Edin Dzeko, the strikers in west London have been less potent and Hazard has been their main source of goals.
The Belgium international has been in brilliant form in west London since a £32m transfer from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is ready to take on the league’s biggest scorers.
“We know City are playing very well this season and they score a lot of goals, but we are not scared. We are going there to win,” Hazard told the club’s website.
“Some teams play against City and they are scared because they have a lot of strikers who score a lot of goals in their home stadium, but we are in good form as well, and if we win we will stay near the top of the table.”
If the visitors were to lose to City then it would see them fall six points behind in the title race and as a result it’s likely Jose Mourinho will take a cautious approach at the Etihad – despite what Hazard has said.
