Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly looking into the possibility of signing Barcelona winger Cristian Tello due to the 21 year-old’s failure to agree terms on a new deal at Camp Nou.
Tello’s deal expires in June 2013, and in January he will be allowed to negotiate with other clubs about a free transfer.
Liverpool have been the strongest linked team, with a move thought to be on the cards last summer, but Tello is understood to be reluctant to move to a club not competing in the UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal and Chelsea are instead eyeing up Tello, who would likely have a different role at each club.
Chelsea’s attacking trio of Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard behind Fernando Torres are unlikely to be shifted in the near future, as they are playing some of the most exciting football in the Premier League.
At the Emirates Stadium though the situation is somewhat different.
With Theo Walcott looking ever likely to leave Arsenal in the summer, and Wilfried Zaha’s price tag rapidly rising, should Tello choose to move to the Gunners he would likely be at least close to a starting spot.
Could Tello be the answer for one of these three Premier League teams?
