However, he also stated that the Argentine international will likely stay where he is come the end of the transfer market in September.
Higuain has been in phenomenal form for Napoli since linking up from Real Madrid back in 2013, and he has gone on to score an impressive 50 goals in 96 appearances, fully justifying his £28m price tag.
Despite his ongoing purple patch, though, he has been tipped to make an exit from the San Paolo this summer should Napoli fail to secure a place in the upcoming Champions League campaign.
With the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are rumoured to be taking a closer look at bringing him on board this summer, speculation regarding his future is likely to go into overdrive.
But his father, Jorge, believes he will stay with the club.
“There are a lot of teams interested in Gonzalo,” he said.
“However, he has a three-year contract to run with Napoli. I do not think he will go anywhere.”
