Arsenal agree deals for French duo, first summer signings sealed
The Daily Express claim the 28-year-old Real Madrid man, who will be a free agent when his contract at the Bernabeu expires next month, will turn down the possibility of a return to the Bundesliga with Schalke in favour of a switch to potential treble winners Juventus.
Four Premier League clubs, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, were thought to be keen on snapping the German up but it seems the Serie A champions have got their man amid fears midfield duo Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo could leave Turin at the end of the season.
Khedira has scarcely featured for the Spanish giants this season, making just 17 appearances as it’s become clear that when the transfer window creaks open once again, he’ll be pushed out of it.
He’s predominantly seen as a defensive midfielder or at least one that sits near the base of midfield, but can be just as easily involved in build-up play or finishing off moves in the box.
