Having expressed interest in joining the Premier League, VfB Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger is currently being targeted by two of the league’s most bitter rivals.
According to the Daily Star, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sees Rudiger as a worthwhile transfer after Real Madrid’s Rafael Varane was pulled off the market. But the Daily Star also reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has the 22-year-old German international star on his radar as well.
According to the Metro, Rudiger’s agent Sahr Senesie confirmed his client’s interest in Chelsea but added that Wolfsburg was a possible interest as well.
“Antonio finds Wolfsburg very interesting, but that also applies to Chelsea,” Sahr Senesie said. “Nothing has been signed, though.”
Rudiger is coming off his third season with Stuttgart in Bundesliga, and his year season in which he played 30 games or more.
