The Bosnia & Herzegovina international has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Petr Cech, and Chelsea are believed to have had a £6m offer rejected by the Potters.
According to The Mirror, Begovic has his heart set on a move to the Premier League champions despite the fact he will likely play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois.
Stoke City are holding firm it is understood club officials will not allow the 28-year-old to leave the club unless Chelsea meets its £8m valuation of the former Portsmouth man.
Chelsea are likely using Begovic’s contract situation to its advantage, with the Bosnian having just one year left to run on his deal at the Britannia.
It is expected that a compromise will be reached soon with Begovic keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.
