Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has looked to downplay the controversy over the incident regarding Eva Carneiro last weekend.
Mourinho was speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, and revealed that neither Carneiro nor Jon Fearn will be on the bench for Sunday’s clash against Man City.

Wenger discusses Mourinho-Carneiro situation
“Your question about the bench. For some people it’s important. For others, it’s not… It’s my decision,” he told the assembled media.
“Dr Fearn and Dr Carneiro will not be on the bench, but doesn’t mean for rest of season.”
Mourinho was left furious during last weekend’s draw with Swansea after Fearn and Carneiro went onto the pitch to attend to the injured Eden Hazard.
However, the Portuguese tactician was irate as he insisted that the pair should have assessed the situation beforehand as it left the reigning Premier League champions with nine men on the pitch at a time when the visitors were threatening to secure all three points.
While Carneiro has since thanked the public for their support after the spat, it remains to be seen how the situation plays out for the rest of the season with suggestions that legal action could also be involved if she chooses to go down that route.
