Mourinho will be looking for his first trophy in there years, and first since returning for his second spell at Chelsea, when the two London sides play at Wembley on Sunday.
This current spell without a trophy marks the longest in Mourinho’s career he hasn’t won a title and says this one will be the biggest he has been involved in so far.
“This cup final is the most important cup final of my career,” he said, reports Metro. “More important than the Champions League. More important than the other cups I’ve played before.
“Do I look stupid? It’s because it’s the next one. The next one. I just think about this game. We have a final to win on Sunday and nothing else matters.
“I don’t care about medals. I care about the club winning trophies and me and the players winning trophies.”
It’s sure to be a fiery affair with Tottenham thrashing Chelsea 5-3 on New Years Day in a shocking defeat for the Blues and you’d expect Mourinho is out for revenge.
