”If one enjoys what he does, one does not lose his hair. He’s got a bald head. Guardiola does not enjoy the football,” Mourinho is claimed to have said.
The two men are fierce rivals after a two year period where Mourinho was in charge of Real Madrid and Guardiola was in charge of Barcelona.
The two men regularly clashed during ‘El Clasico’ creating a tension that still exists between the pair today.
Both men are reported to have clashed at last weeks UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum on the subject of grass length.
After the former Spain international argued that rules would make the game faster and more beautiful, Mourinho is said to have responded: “Everyone has his style of play, which should be respected. Football can be spectacular in several ways.”
Guardiola then reportedly hit back saying: “The beauty of football is dependent on the coach. It seems to me that the result Mourinho prefers the spectacle. ”
The revelation that the two are still at odds with eachother comes on the same day that former Real Madrid director general Jorge Valdano criticised Mourinho’s time at Los Blancos and also claimed the former Inter Milan coach won’t be regarded as a great because Guardiola is better.
