Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson apparently made a surprise visit to Chelsea’s hotel in Paris ahead of their Champions League tie on Tuesday night, The Sun reports.

The retired manager was spotted heading for the upscale L’Hotel Du Collectionneur to attend a brief meeting with Mourinho on Tuesday morning.
The pair had developed a relationship whilst Ferguson was in charge at Old Trafford and Mourinho enjoyed his first spell at the head of the west London outfit.
Mourinho was apparently one of the select few within the game that knew Ferguson would be calling time on his career before anyone else, and the pair reunited this week for a coffee and a chat.
Ferguson was the last manager of a British side to win a league and European double – a feat that Mourinho himself is hopeful of repeating this season.
