Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Everton manager Roberto Martinez following his side’s 3-1 defeat to the Toffees at Goodison Park on Saturday, it has been revealed.
According to The Guardian, Mourinho was angered that Martinez had undergone the first post-match press conference, with the away manager usually expected to face the waiting media first.
The Portuguese boss was incensed and interrupted Martinez’s briefing with journalists, saying: “Roberto, Roberto, next time tell me to go before you because we have to travel.”
Martinez replied: “I don’t control that, José. I don’t control that.”
A frustrated Mourinho then shouted: “F*****g hell!”
A Steven Naismith hat-trick condemned the Blues to its third loss of the season, with Mourinho’s side now sitting 17th with just four points from five matches.
Chelsea face Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the opening game of its Champions League campaign on Wednesday before facing London rivals Arsenal on Saturday in the Premier League.
