Sources in Spain had claimed this week that the Argentine could be on his way to the Premier League at the end of the season should the Catalan giants fail to pick up any silverware this term.
Mourinho had been said to be weighing up a move for the 27-year-old in a £200m dealthat would be part funded by sportswear giants Adidas, but the Blues boss has quickly refuted the claims as the January transfer window approaches.
“My reaction is that your world changed so much that our world also changed so much,” said Mourinho.
