Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho held talks with Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos earlier this week, according to the Daily Express.
Ramos, who has been capped 124 times by Spain at senior international level, is said to be unsettled at the Santiago Bernabeu, after being offered a pay-cut.
The 28-year-old still has over two years remaining on his current contract, but Mourinho has spoken to him anyway to let him know that he is welcome at Stamford Bridge should he fail sort out his situation in Spain.
Ramos and Mourinho worked together at Real between 2010 and 2013.
This could be John Terry’s last season at Chelsea and Ramos would seem to be an ideal replacement for the 34-year-old.
