Robert Lewandowki says he has been in touch with Mou since the Champions League semi-final.
Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has revealed he is in regular contact with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
The Poland international has been linked with a move away from Dortmund this summer after a stunning season for the Bundesliga outfit last term.
The 25-year-old netted 36 goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick in the 4-1 Champions League semi-final first leg win over Mourinho’s Real Madrid.
Lewandowski has revealed that after the match in Dortmund, he received a text message from the Portuguese, telling him he would like the striker to join him at his next club, which turned out to be Chelsea.
“Yes, there was a situation like this with Jose Mourinho but I wouldn’t like to talk about it much,” the forward told Sky Sports.
“It was a private conversation so I don’t want to make big things out of it. I can confirm I spoke to him.
“We spoke a few times before. I have his number in my phone. It is a huge compliment for me that a manager with such a big name is texting me this way.
“It is always nice to talk to him but it is not the first time I had such a situation.”
