Special One wants Jovetic at Stamford Bridge.
New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on signing a top class striker, with Arsenal target Stevan Jovetic and Man City’s Edin Dzeko both on his summer shopping list.
Arsenal and Juventus have been linked with a move for Jovetic, who is reportedly keen to leave Fiorentina for a ‘new experience’.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Mourinho will also target Dzeko, who is surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium and is reportedly subject of a possible swap deal involving Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.
Dzeko fits the mould of the powerful, tall striker that Mourinho favours, while the Portuguese is understood to admire Jovetic’s versatility.
The Viola forward netted just 13 goals in the Serie A last term but was the driving force behind the team’s fourth-placed finish.
Scudetto winners Juventus are thought to remain favourites for Jovetic, who is thought to want to stay in Italy, but the Old Lady could be blown out of the water if mega-rich Chelsea enter the race for the Montenegro international.
