Juventus are expected to swoop for Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado in the coming days.
The Old Lady are reportedly ready to turn their attention to the Colombian World Cup star after giving up on their pursuit of long-term Arsenal target Julian Draxler.
Juve are said to have offered Schalke £1m for an initial loan with the option of a £14m permanent deal, but the Germans apparently want closer to £20m for their international winger.
According to the Daily Express, the Serie A champions feel that they could get Cuadrado for a cheaper figure after the South American failed to make an impact upon arriving at Stamford Bridge last season.
Cuadrado made 14 goalless appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side after his £26.1m arrival from Fiorentina, and has been widely tipped to return to Italy this summer.
Last year’s Champions League runners-up are looking for a couple of marquee signings as they prepare for life without Andrea Pirlo, Carlos Tevez and Bayern Munich-bound Arturo Vidal.
