Chelsea are reportedly ready to approach Everton to try to sign young England defender John Stones.
Jose Mourinho’s Blues had the best defensive record in the Premier League last season – conceding just 0.84 goals per game on average and keeping 17 clean sheets.
Nevertheless, Mourinho is keen to bolster his options at the back this summer.

The Blues have been linked with Real Madrid centre-half Raphael Varane, but the Frenchman looks set to stay in the Spanish capital.

However, The Express exclusively report that the Blues are now considering making a bid for Toffees youngster Stones, who has four senior England caps to his name at the age of 21.
Stones, who joined Everton for £3m from Barnsley in 2013, is apparently rated at around £15m by Everton.
