Blues youngster to spend a season on loan with Bundesliga giants.
Chelsea have confirmed that starlet winger Thorgan Hazard has joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on a season long loan for the upcoming campaign, the BBC reports.
The 21-year-old younger brother of fellow Chelsea star Eden has yet to make an appearance in the Blues first team and will now spend this third successive season on loan away from the club.
Since joining from French side Lens back in 2012 he has spent the bulk of his time with Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem where he has made 90 appearances, scoring 22 goals and creating an amazing 30 assists during his time there.
He was also included in Belgium’s original 30-man World Cup squad, though he was eventually cut from the final squad of 23 that eventually travelled to Brazil.
Though he has yet to feature for the Stamford Bridge side he has been tipped for a bright future in the game and many thought that he would head out to link up with another Premier League side for the upcoming campaign.
However, ‘Gladbach will still be seen as a step up from playing in his native Belgium as they finished sixth in the Bundesliga last term, qualifying for for the Europa League in the process.
